im a fucking walking paradox

Don't ever challenge me to anything. Because I will dominate. There's nothing I like more than someone telling me I can't do something. Second to that is competitions.

After Sacramento and Coachella a.k.a. Binge Eating For Two Weekends 101, I've pitifully lost muscle mass and gained unsightly weight. And no this isn't Ms. Skinny Girl with a twisted self-image begging for compliments. I'm happy with my body but there's always room for improvement, right? There's nothing wrong with challenging yourself every once and a while in the name of health.

Anyway, the boyfriend and I have made a bet to see who can achieve the best abs by June 10. Now if that wasn't enough to get my competitive blood pumping, the winner gets a pair of new kicks. I'm not a materialistic person but I could always go for a new pair of kicks.

Now the fat girl in me who loves burgers and ice cream is secretly loathing myself right now. But from now until June 10 I have to lock that fat girl away in the closet until my abs are strong enough to crack hazelnuts.

So for the next month and a half, it's crunch time (no pun intended). Follow my progress here and at @lauracamilia.

is it just me or..

..or is talking about how much money you make just unclassy? If you have it, you got it. No need to flaunt it.

more or less

"The more I do what I love, the less I'm paying my bills, the less I make it to bed, the better I start to feel. The less I come around, the more I become appealing. But life's short so why practice disappearing?"
-Skewby

-It's the same old story. My body is tired but my mind is active and my soul is strong.

-After two moves and one more upcoming in the next couple of months, I've discovered that I have a lot of junk.. heavy junk. They're mostly books though and since lugging 3 or 4 boxes full of paper into a new house next month sounds unappealing to me, I am now a proud Kindle owner! Of course I'm going to keep the essentials and classics, like The Scarlet Letter, American Psycho and Decoded, but everything else is on a bullet train to Goodwill. If anyone wants free books, hit me up before the end of the month.

-Mission Coachella body is coming to a close so it's officially grind time. My low sodium, zero artificial sugar, low carb diet starts tomorrow. Today, I'm off to Slater's 50/50 to have the last diabetes ensuing meal until after April 20. Wish me luck!

some people call it swagger, im a little bit older, so i still call it mojo.

I've. Stretched. Myself. Too. Thin.

Some days, when I feel like I haven't accomplished enough, I lay awake in bed and just let my mind go nuts and think all the thoughts I didn't have the time to think of during the day. They're incoherent, nonsensical, wild and even scary. But I believe it's when I'm at my creative best. If I didn't share a room I would totes be up and working. Unfortunately, the bf doesn't sleep well with the lights on and I believe his rest is more important with the school load he has. I can't wait to have my own house. With my own office. And my own darkroom.. with highceilings,hardwoodfloors,hugewindowsandbeautifuldrapery.. but that's another post.

On another note, Prof. Fernandez calibrated my laptop last week. I love the look of a calibrated laptop. Unfortunately she somehow undid the calibration (I'm still not sure how she managed to pull that off) and so now the colors on my laptop look shitty again.

By the way, look out for my next project, Pachyderm Jewelry.
